God’s Son was born in a stable:
homeless kids find hope in Christmas.

You probably remember the old song, “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.”

But have you ever met a child who didn’t want more than a couple of teeth for Christmas?

Sadly, thousands of kids right here in Raleigh will just be hoping for something to eat on Christmas Day.

Young boys and girls who are homeless or struggling in poverty don’t expect piles of presents under a tree on Christmas morning. But they understand some things better than many adults.

Children as teachers

Poor children understand the value of a gift better than most people. That’s because when they give — it may be a bit of food they give to a sibling, or a toy they share with a friend — they may be giving away everything they have.

And they don’t expect anything in return.

What an amazing demonstration of the Christmas message.

A special year-end gift

Please take this last chance to send a special, year-end gift to share God’s blessings with struggling neighbors who may not even get a hot meal on Christmas Day.

Your gift will provide hot nutritious meals, clothing and care for children, women and men in our community who are hungry, cold and desperate.
