You can make a difference in someone’s life by providing much needed items we use each day. Below is our FAQs about donating In-kind gifts, along with categories of items we need each day. These vary, so check back often on the needs we have. Thank you for your gift of in-kind gifts!

FAQS:

Check the items below to ensure that we are accepting the item(s) you wish to donate. If so, schedule an appointment for drop off with Carla Tuttle via email or phone: pneyng@enyrvtuerfphr.bet, 984-272-2001. All donations, no matter the type, should be arranged in advance. Donations will be accepted on Tuesdays -Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. only.

Unfortunately, no. We require individuals with in-kind donations to schedule an appointment. We have limited storage space and need to plan ahead to receive donations.

Unfortunately, we no longer do donation pickups. If you need items picked up from your home or business, you should check with other local organizations.

With the closure of our thrift store, we no longer accept most furniture and household items. However, we currently need dressers and bedside tables that are still in good condition. We do not pick up donations. These furniture items must be dropped off at the Mission.

If you have a dresser or bedside table to donate, please contact Carla Tuttle via email or phone: pneyng@enyrvtuerfphr.bet, 984-272-2001. You must send photos of the item(s) you wish to donate so we can determine if we are able to accept the donation.

All donations, no matter the type, should be arranged in advance.

Before planning and organizing a drive, please contact Carla Tuttle via email or phone: pneyng@enyrvtuerfphr.bet, 984-272-2001. She will give you options for our most urgent needs and will coordinate scheduling delivery of the items you collect.

Because our clients live with us onsite, we only accept full-size hygiene items. You can contact other organizations to donate your travel-sized items.

Yes! Because we believe that all individuals have sacred value, we want to model that belief in all areas of our organization, including the clothing we provide to our clients. Our clients often enter the Mission with low self-esteem, and one way to improve someone’s self-worth and dignity is through appearance.

We only accept new underwear, socks, and shoes. All other clothing donations must be new or like new and should either have the tags still attached or washed and/or dry cleaned. Please be mindful of the season when you are donating clothing. We are limited in our storage space and will only accept small quantities of clothing for the current season.

Yes, this is a simple and easy way to make a much-needed donation. Please consider ordering from our Amazon wish list. Items are regularly added and deleted based on our current needs.

We always need white bath towels and washcloths, white twin sheet sets, and standard-size bed pillows. However, all these items must be new. We cannot accept linens, blankets, and bed coverings that have previously been used, even if they have been washed.

At various times during the year, we also need twin blankets and bed coverings, either spreads or quilts. Again, these items must be new.

We accept canned food items that are unopened and still in date, preferably 40 oz. sizes or larger since we feed approximately 85 people per day on average. We can also accept non-perishable items such as flour, sugar, cooking oil, dry seasonings and spices, condiments, bottled water, and snack items. Again, we prefer large sizes and/or cases of items.

We cannot accept expired food items or prepared food that has been opened and/or served elsewhere. If you purchase prepared food from a restaurant or store that is unopened and still in its original packaging, we can accept it. As with any in-kind donation, please contact Carla Tuttle via email or phone before arriving at the Mission with a food donation: pneyng@enyrvtuerfphr.bet, 984-272-2001.

See the list of items needed below in Food Items.

This is actually not true for Raleigh Rescue Mission. We have been richly blessed with enough socks to last us several seasons. However, we always need new men’s black dress socks. Please check in Clothing & Shoes below for our most urgent needs.

Another way to make a donation is to donate your birthday by following these step-by-step directions.

Finally, you can always stop by the Mission to make a financial donation in person, no appointment necessary.
