Summer 2020 – Celebrating Moments of Joy

This summer is different than most, but God is still at work at the Mission. Join us in praising Him for His provision!
- All school-age children are attending YMCA camp. In addition, Raleigh Parks and Recreation provided scholarships for its camps.
- Toddlers, along with their parents and staff, will be celebrating July 4th with a trip to a splash pad.
- AmazonSmiles is bringing big smiles to our children! Visit Amazon to designate us as your charity and Amazon donates $ on your behalf. It’s quick and easy. We also have a Wishlist. Purchase items for the Mission and they can be delivered straight to our door.
- We continue to provide educational and spiritual meetings either virtually or in very small groups, taking all precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy. Our volunteer financial counselor meets regularly with clients online, and the two Jobs for Life classes are going great as we remodel the training room and update technology for now and in the future.
- 15 clients started jobs and 12 clients are enrolled in Jobs for Life. Four clients purchased cars. Several clients are in the process of moving into their own apartments.
- As current clients graduate from the New Life Plan and move out, we continue to provide support while we assess and welcome new clients into the New Life Plan.
- The Thrift Store and Donation Center is open! And we need your stuff to support the Mission! Drop off your items Tues – Fri, 10 am to 4 pm, and Sat 9 am to 4 pm at 4700 Capital Boulevard, or contact us to arrange a pickup for large items.
Come shop with us and check out our great sales! The Store is open Tues – Fri, 10 am to 6 pm, and Sat 9 am to 5 pm. All proceeds support the needs of the clients.
