Raleigh, NC-The Raleigh Rescue Mission Board of Directors has named a new CEO of the Mission. This announcement is the last step in a multi-month process that began nine months ago when Lynn Daniell, the Mission’s Executive Director, announced his plan to retire. For the past 24 years, Lynn has been a steadfast and devoted leader who helped grow the programs and services Raleigh Rescue Mission offers in our community.
The Mission’s Board of Directors engaged an executive search firm to spearhead the candidate search and selection process for a new Chief Executive Officer. Many qualified candidates were considered. After months of thoughtful consideration, the Board has found just the right person: John Luckett. Mr. Luckett has a passion for serving people in need, he has been involved in the non-profit world for four and a half years. In addition, Mr. Luckett brings a wealth of business knowledge, experience, and expertise from his 25 years as a business leader.
Jim Wiley, Raleigh Rescue Mission’s Board Chair states; “Mr. Daniell and Mr. Luckett will be working together for the next several months to ensure continuity of the Mission and guarantee that John begins his tenure from a place of deep understanding of how we are partnering with friends like you to combat hunger and homelessness in our area.”
