Governor Roy Cooper Volunteers at Raleigh Rescue Mission.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Gov. Roy Cooper is getting a head start on Thanksgiving tonight at the Raleigh Rescue Mission.

Cooper helped to prepare the meal and will also help serve it.

The Rescue Mission will pack and deliver more than 850 meals through its “Gobbles to Go” program – and it’s not too late to give. Just $2.80 provides a hot holiday meal for someone in need.
