Fashion Retailer with a Mission to Change the World Supports RRM

February 24, 2021

If you visited Crabtree Valley Mall over the last few months and shopped at Altar’d State, we thank you! Altar’d State, a fast growing women’s fashion boutique known for its trend-setting apparel and visual displays, is also on a higher mission to change the world for the better. Behind the scenes of the boho chic clothing, accessories and gifts is a group of caring individuals who focus their time and resources on improving the quality of life for children around the globe.

The Crabtree store chose to support Raleigh Rescue Mission during the holidays and into the new year, and CEO John Luckett recently accepted a donation of almost $5,000 from Kristin Barnes, Guest Engagement Leader. “We enjoyed partnering with the Mission and we’re so excited to present this check to Mr. Luckett,” says Kristin. Along with donating 5% of Monday sales each week, the store offered additional discounts to customers who brought canned food as well as a variety of incentives to customers and staff who chose to participate.

Altar’d State recently published a message stating they provided 5,493 virtual hugs, shared in millions of prayers online, helped educate more than 9,500 children, donated over 1.1 million pounds of food, volunteered 10,000 hours, and gave more than $1,600,000 to charities. We at Raleigh Rescue Mission are grateful to be a recipient of their generosity and join them locally in their commitment to change lives.
