Congratulations to Another Successful Class of JFL Graduates

March 31, 2020

We’re so proud of the 5 women and 9 men who completed the Jobs for Life curriculum and celebrated with a special graduation ceremony on March 1st. Shanika Carrica from Summit Church provided special music, and the RRM Dining Hall staff went all out with food and beverages for the event. The commencement speaker was a former client who is now successfully living and working outside the Mission. His advice regarding budgeting, as well as his encouragement to stick with the New Life Plan, was timely and meaningful to the clients and their families who attended the ceremony.

Jobs for Life has become an integral part of Phase 3 of the Mission’s New Life Plan. It’s a biblically-based curriculum created right here in Raleigh in 1996 and is now taught all over the world. Classes help prepare men and women to experience the dignity of work through mentoring, resume prep and interviewing skills training, and an ongoing community of support. Clients are putting into practice what they’ve learned. Find out more about JFL here (www.jobsforlife.org).
