Children’s Ministry Update

February 24, 2020

Thanks to our childcare staff and many dedicated volunteers and sponsors, our children have been busy! Here are just a few recent activities:

  • Art classes, led by a volunteer who is an art major at NC State – We’re seeing some talented little artists
  • “Jurassic World” show at PNC arena – generously provided by PNC
  • Hurricanes hockey game – Carolina Hurricanes donated suite tickets for kids and their parents
  • Valentine “Thank You” cards and treats for RRM staff – created and enthusiastically distributed by the children
  • Teacher workday outing to SkyZone – the kids jumped, played and “let loose” to their heart’s content

In addition, the recently renovated portion of the children’s area has been a huge hit, and the nursery and preschool just received a fresh coat of paint.

Commit one hour per week as a Reading Buddy or homework helper, or sign up for assistance with Teacher Workdays, Spring Break and other special days where extra hands are needed.
