Adults and Kids Have Some Holiday Fun

December 27, 2021

Clients are celebrating Christmas prayers-come-true, and we celebrate with them! Seven clients graduated from the most recent Jobs for Life course, four clients secured employment, and one client has moved into off-site housing. Merry Christmas and congratulations to these individuals!

In addition, clients and their children are enjoying some Christmas FUN. The children were wide-eyed when they attended WRAL’s Night of Lights at Dorothea Dix Park this month. In addition, they’ve decorated a Christmas tree, participated in a candy cane hunt, made holiday popsicles, stockings, wreaths, ornaments, sock snowmen, gingerbread houses, snow globes, ugly sweaters and even a Christmas tree volcano.

Pre-K children and their parents enjoyed a hot chocolate bar with a Christmas movie, and the older kids and their parents played Christmas trivia and enjoyed some friendly Christmas competitions. All clients and their families, as well as the Mission’s staff, were treated to special music and games in the Dining Hall.

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we praise Him for the gift of YOU, our donors, partners, volunteers and supporters, who help make these activities happen. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family from all of us at Raleigh Rescue Mission.
