In the fall of 2021, after 10 years of working in administrative roles in the legal industry, Lauren took some time off to reset, pray and wait to see what God had planned next for her (always easier said than done!). She came across an opening for the Campaign Coordinator role at Raleigh Rescue Mission and applied, feeling immediately drawn to working for such an impactful and faith-based organization.
With no prior experience in the non-profit sector, her first few months were spent learning the numerous ways that Raleigh Rescue Mission serves its clients and the community as a whole. She is incredibly honored to be a small part of the Mission’s widespread impact. She quickly found that no day is the same in the role of a campaign coordinator and loves the variety of interviewing clients, assisting with marketing projects, meeting with donors and learning the ins and outs of philanthropy.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys reading any book in the mystery section of the library, walking on one of Raleigh’s beautiful greenways and advocating for the rights of pineapple on pizza. She dreams of being summoned for jury duty one day and has one cat named Cucumber.
