A Passion for Helping Children Thrive

Quinnlyn (Quinn) Newman came to the Mission in Fall 2020 and serves as Early Childhood Program Manager in our Child Development Center (CDC). Prior to her journey at Raleigh Rescue, Quinn’s career included a wealth of experience working with children from various backgrounds. She has a heart and a talent for bringing out the best in kids and serving as their advocate.

“Me being a working mom of two myself, I can easily connect with the young mothers in the program and try to give them the best advice I can offer them,” said Quinn.

She treats each child under her care as her own and even attends parent/teacher conferences if a parent is unable to go, or attends along with parents to ensure each child is met with ample care and support. Her favorite aspect of the position is watching babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and adolescents grow from when they first enter the New Life Program into more comfortable, confident, and unique children of God.

“I have a passion for watching children grow in this program,” reflects Quinn. “I believe every child should be awarded opportunities for the same outcome no matter their hardships.”

When faced with trials, Quinn says she oftentimes remembers to “give it over to the Lord.” She prays aloud during the children’s daily devotion, giving her and the children a moment to self-reflect and give gratitude for each day. Her favorite verse is, “𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂-𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀! 𝗗𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼.” – 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗮 𝟭:𝟵.
