First Corinthians, Chapter 13, Verse 7 says “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” After reading Kenny’s story, and watching his video, you are going to know this to be true.

Kenny, a Vietnam War era veteran, who says he learned to drink while in the Marines, spent almost 35 years of life in and out of homelessness. Sleeping on the streets. Sleeping in cars. Avoiding his family to prevent bringing them down with him. Watch his video to find out what Kenny found at the end of his 35-year struggle.

Kenny’s story illustrates how adverse childhood effects (ACEs) can have devastating consequences.

It also illustrates how getting the right counseling and therapy can make all the difference. It was not until Kenny received counseling through the Raleigh Rescue Mission that he began to understand he was suffering from PTSD and needed ongoing therapy and treatment to truly recover.
