Medical Care

Our clients often suffer acute and chronic health issues, in addition to needing immediate care. Here’s how we meet their needs.

Medical Clinic For residential clients
Assist with prescription refills, schedule appointments, perform medical and mental health assessments, and refer clients to local health care providers in the community. We continue to care for clients and their children after they leave the Mission until they have independent access to medical care.

Our clinic staff includes a director, nurses, a mental health counselor and a psychiatrist, and is also supported by volunteer medical professionals.

Dental Services For residential clients
Through our partnership with Wake Smiles and with the help of volunteer dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and the North Carolina Baptist Men’s Dental Bus Ministry, we provide basic dental care to our adult residential clients.

Eye Care Services For residential clients only
Services are made possible through our partners at My Eyes Optometry.

Health Education For residential clients only
We assist clients with smoking cessation, nutrition, regular exercise and other choices that promote a longer, healthier life.

“They encouraged me to keep going through the treatment. That made me strong in my faith in the Lord. It’s been a hard run, but I thank this place for being there for me.”

– Bill, came to the Mission homeless with cancer, now working and living in his own apartment
