Volunteer Opportunities

Thanks for your interest in serving with Raleigh Rescue Mission’s Volunteer Ministry.  Our Volunteer Ministry seeks to inform and engage committed individuals as well as church, school, civic and corporate groups. We believe our volunteers are our partners in ministering to the homeless and hurting in our community.  Our prayer is that you will serve with us for a long time to come.

To start the process, please review the information below before submitting an online volunteer application.

Adopt a Garden is a fun way to work together to bring a blessing to our clients by having a garden at home, school or church. You can decorate flower pots and bring in the flowers or vegetables you grow.

Home baked goods are always a welcome treat!!

Have a pajama party and have your guests bring a book and pair of kids' pajamas to donate.

Take construction paper and cover it with clear contact paper to make place mats. You can decorate them and write an encouraging word on them. We would need approximately 100.

In your school, church or neighborhood group, create and cut out items to decorate our kitchen bulletin board. This can be a seasonal theme or inspiration and encouragement board.

Looking at our urgent needs, create a grocery shopping list and have each child shop with their family to bring in an item on the list. You can then donate the items collected on your grocery list.

Lunches-To-Go is another activity that would be great for kids.
