RRM and SE Raleigh Table Distribute Turkey Meals-to-Go
Thanksgiving and Christmas wouldn’t be the same without the aromas and tastes of turkey with all the trimmings. Last year’s first annual Turkey Take-Out Meal event was a blessing to many, and we teamed up with Southeast Raleigh Table to do it again this year. Community neighbors were able to drive by to pick up delicious and ready-to-eat meals, and volunteers delivered them to Meals on Wheels recipients and others who couldn’t stop by in person. The events took place on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve and provided a great meal and some holiday cheer to 1,200 individuals both days.
A heavenly host of church and Mission volunteers packaged meals, distributed them at the pick-up site, and transported and delivered meals to area recipients. THANK YOU to all who volunteered, donated or contributed in so many ways to make these holiday events a success.
