When Michael was selected to interview for an IT job at the Mission in 2015, he met with his family and friends at 5 am every morning to pray about the position. This is one small example of how Michael relies on his faith to lead him, and he demonstrates this faith daily with our clients, volunteers, team members, vendors and investors.
Michael’s served in some impressive positions, starting as an IT instructor in Puerto Cortes, Honduras and then moving to management positions at National Seaport Authority in Puerto Cortes and the US Dept. of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Washington. He obtained his Masters in Computer Science Management, US World Education Services, from San Pedro Sula University. He’s both big-picture and detail-oriented, and tolerates our many questions and IT needs patiently and systematically.
Michael and his family attend Iglesia Cristiana de Cary church, where he is a board member and Director of Bible Institute. He played professional soccer in Honduras and continues to play regularly in a recreational league.
