Chris encountered Jesus in his teens but became a true disciple as a young adult while serving in the US Navy. Seeing the “poorest of the poorest” in countries around the world, he sought to mold that faith in a new direction. Reaching out to the “least of these” became the center of Chris’s spiritual walk, from serving as a pastor, to working with families of seriously ill children as well as serving those in the crisis of mental illness and substance abuse. Serving as the Director of Men’s Ministries at the Raleigh Rescue Mission has provided a platform to bring that experience to bear on those challenged by homelessness.
If you’re up early (4:30 am!), you might see Chris out jogging in his neighborhood. He also enjoys biking, reading, traveling with his wife, walking his dog, Bentley and not walking his cat, Gracie!
