Statement of Faith
Our belief in Christ is the foundation of all our work.
We believe that the Bible is God’s written revelation to man, inspired by the Holy Spirit directing human authors, and is infallible and ultimately the authoritative Word of God. (Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:15-17).
We believe there is only one true and living God, eternally existing as one in essence, in three Persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the creator and sustainer of all things (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:15-17; Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:15-20).
We believe that Jesus, as the second Person of the Trinity, is coequal, coeternal, and one in essence with the Father, and that He was born of a virgin. We believe that we are redeemed by His atoning death through His shed blood, that He was bodily resurrected into heaven, and is now seated the right hand of the Father, as our mediator and High Priest (John 10:30; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23-25; Romans 3:24-25; 5:8-9; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2).
We believe that the Holy Spirit, as the third Person of the Trinity, is divine and coequal with the Father and Son, that He was active in creation, the incarnation, and the work of salvation. The Spirit glorifies our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, convicts of the world of sin, the agent of regeneration, indwells the believer and baptizes them into the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit also bestows spiritual gifts, empowers the believer for service, and seals them until the day of redemption (Genesis 1:2; Matthew 28:19; 1:18; John 3:5-7; 16:7-15; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 1:13,14;Titus 3:5).
We believe that man was created in the image of God, affected by the fall; unable to save himself therefore can only be saved by the grace of God, through faith, because of the shed blood of His Son Jesus (Genesis 1:26,27; Roman 5:12-19; Ephesians 1:2; 2:1,2,5,8-10; 1 Peter 1:18,19).
We believe that we are saved by grace through faith, and that is a gift of God and not something we can accomplish on our own. To be saved one must repent of their sin, place their faith and trust in Jesus by confessing Him as Lord, believe that He took your place and paid the penalty for our sins, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. For the Scripture says, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Matthew 4:17; Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 5:8; 10:9-13).
We believe that the Holy Spirit unites all true born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that together they form one body, the Church, of which Christ in the head. Jesus, will return to remove the church from the earth, and also the promise of eternal rewards and blessings for the believer (John 3:8; 1 Corinthians 12:12, 13; Ephesians 1:22; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; John 3:16; 14:1-3; Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10).
I believe that everything you do is important but that the sharing of the gospel is the most important, life impacting part of your ministry. Teresa, friend of the Mission
