Raleigh Rescue Mission’s onsite clinic is available only to current clients staying at the Mission and after-care clients. Staffed by a director, nurses, a mental health counselor and a psychiatrist, patients receive free treatment for acute and chronic health problems, as well as medical and mental health assessments, and referrals to local health care providers.
The clinic is also supported by various outside medical professionals who volunteer their time to serve our clients.
Adult Services—Clinic staff provides medical care, helps obtain medication, assists in prescription refills, schedules appointments and connects clients with medical providers in the community.
Pediatric Services—All children from Raleigh Rescue Mission receive pediatric care for acute and chronic health problems.
Mental Health Services—Adults and children at Raleigh Rescue Mission may receive care from a psychiatrist and mental health counselor. We also make referrals to community agencies for on-going treatment.
Dental Services—Through our partnership with Wake Smiles and with the help of volunteer dentists, dental hygenists, dental assistants and the North Carolina Baptist Men's Dental Bus Ministry, we provide basic dental care to our adult residential clients.
Eye Care Services—Raleigh Rescue Mission residential clients access eye care services through our partners at My Eyes Optometry.
Health Education—Raleigh Rescue Mission staff and volunteers assist clients in smoking cessation, nutrition, regular exercise and other choices that promote a longer, healthier life.
