Emergency Overnight Services

People often come to us due to a shelter crisis. Once stabilized, these clients often move on to our longer-term Recovery and Rehabilitation program.

Emergency Overnight Services for Women and Children

Elderly women and mothers with children who have never stayed with us before receive priority placement. Due to the limitations of our facilities, we can only accommodate male children up to 10 years of age.

To request a bed, women and children must line up on the ramp in front of the Mission at 314 E. Hargett Street, Raleigh, no later than 3:30pm. Services begin at 4pm and include:

  • Healthy dinner
  • Hot shower
  • Hygiene items
  • Change of clothes
  • Clean sheets
  • Bed in an open dormitory-style room
  • Breakfast the next morning
  • “To Go” sack lunch
  • Opportunity for Bible study
  • Invitation to be added to the waiting list for our Recovery and Rehabilitation Services 
  • Ability to return in the evening

Emergency Overnight Services for Men
Men age 55 and up and men who have never stayed with us before receive priority placement.

To request a bed, men must line up on the ramp in front of the Mission at 314 E. Hargett Street, Raleigh at 2:45pm. Services begin at 3pm and include:

  • Healthy dinner
  • Hot shower
  • Hygiene items
  • Change of clothes
  • Clean sheets
  • Bed in a semi-private, dormitory-style room
  • Breakfast the next morning
  • “To Go” Sack lunch
  • Opportunity for Bible study
  • Invitation to be added to the waiting list for our Recovery and Rehabilitation Services 
  • Ability to return in the evening
