Raleigh Rescue Medical Clinic





Medical Clinic

Homeless men, women and children staying at Raleigh Rescue Mission and women and children from The Salvation Army receive medical care in our on-site medical clinic. The Mission provides free health care for acute and chronic problems and referrals to other agencies when necessary to residents in our Life Plan Program and guests staying in our emergency shelters.

Our medical clinic is staffed by a clinic director and pediatric nurse practitioner, clinic nurse, case manager, psychiatrist and psychologist. The clinic is supported by volunteers including: doctor, orthopedic surgeon, physician assistant, nurses, student nurses and student nurse practitioners. Services provided in our medical clinic include:

Adult services - Adult men and women residents of RRM receive free medical care for acute and chronic health problems in our two adult exam rooms.

Pediatric services - All children from RRM and The Salvation Army receive an initial well child screening and immunizations. Pediatric care for acute and chronic health problems is provided in our pediatric exam room.

Orthopedic services - A volunteer orthopedic surgeon provides care to Raleigh Rescue Mission residents and clients from The Salvation Army.

Mental health services - Adults and children from RRM and women and children from The Salvation Army with acute mental health needs receive care from a psychologist, psychiatrist and mental health counselor.

Dental services - Volunteer dentists and dental hygienist offer their services on a monthly basis to our residents. Volunteers service residents at Raleigh Rescue Mission on the NC Baptist Men's Dental Bus, an evangelistic ministry of NC Baptist Men.
