Raleigh Rescue Mission's Downtown Raleigh Festival of Hope A Success!

More than 2,800 folks joined us at the Downtown Raleigh Festival of Hope on May 1^st for a day of fun, live music, food, games, giant inflatables, face painting and our 6^th Annual Big Barbecue Showdown. Folks put away 2,300 hot dogs and 300 pounds of barbecue!  Four Season's Catering took home first place in the Big Barbecue Showdown and McCall's BBQ & Seafood came in second winning the "So Good it Hurts" award. The crowd helped judge the Crowd Pleaser contest and voted Barbecue Lodge as the best with Clyde Cooper's Barbecue & Catering a close second.  The festival was a day of fun for everybody and gave folks the chance to take a tour and learn more about the Mission and how we help the homeless. Thanks to all the volunteers and donors that helped make the event a success and a special thanks to our community for their support!
