A hot meal of turkey and all the trimmings is what Gobbles to Go volunteers will be delivering this Thanksgiving to hundreds of folks in need. Raleigh Rescue Mission's Gobbles to Go meal delivery program began eight years ago to make sure that the elderly, shut-ins and low income in our community received a holiday meal. Volunteers will help package and deliver the meals on Thanksgiving Day. This year, community support has provide all the turkeys and most of the food that we need but the Mission could use more instant stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, green beans, chicken broth and margarine. Please bring food donations to 314 E. Hargett Street during business hours by Wednesday, November 23.
