A blueprint for restoring lives in the New Year!

A blueprint for restoring lives in the New Year!

Here at the Mission, we’re so thankful for all that God has done in this past year — with your faithful support, we’ve helped hundreds of men, women and children start a new life free of homelessness, abuse and addiction. God is working in powerful ways!

But as we start a new year, our hearts are with hurting neighbors who are still in such desperate need in 2012. Many people lost jobs this year, and once their savings dried up, they lost their homes. That’s what happened to Trudy*, a single mom with four daughters.

She lost her job in February and by May the money she had managed to save had been spent on housing, utilities and food for her family. Without the Mission, she would have had no place to go. When she first came to us, she was just looking for food and safe shelter for her family. But because of your generosity, that was only the beginning!

Trudy will soon complete her GED and is taking advantage of job training that will help her build a better future for her daughters. She’s also being encouraged to grow in her relationship with the Lord.

We believe the blueprint for building new lives is simple: it begins with a hot meal, a genuine smile, and safe shelter. From there, we help hurting people build a strong foundation on a relationship with Jesus. And recovery programs, educational opportunities and medical services provide strong support.

These are challenging times and we urgently need your help to continue restoring lives here in Wake County. Will you help? To send a gift to help people like Trudy get back on their feet this year, .
