Pray for Us

"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people"
– 1 Timothy 2:1

Prayer gives hope and changes lives and at Raleigh Rescue Mission, we believe that there is strength in numbers. Be part of Raleigh Rescue Mission’s Intercessory Prayer Ministry and pray for our board, staff, volunteers, donors, clients and others we serve. We’ll update the prayer and praise requests each month to guide you in your prayer time. We also want to intercede on your behalf. Please email us your prayer and praise requests at prayer [at] raleighrescue [dot] org so we can lift you up in prayer and share your requests with others.

Thank you Lord for providing the mercy and forgiveness that justice demands for our sin. Thank you Lord for sending your Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and seal us. Thank you Lord that we have the priviledge of communicating with you and the priviledge of knowing you intimately. Thank you for the joy and fulfillment that I have from knowing you and making you known. Thank you Lord that you have drawn my heart to realize that worship belongs only to you and none other. Thank you Lord that you have drawn my heart to learn obedience through suffering and through challenging circumstances. Thank you Lord for using life's challenging circumstances to shape my mind and character to become like that of Jesus Christ's. Thank you Lord for the named and unnamed individuals and organizations that contribute their heart's affections and subsequently their prayers and financial support towards homeless people by way of Raleigh Rescue Mission. Dear Lord, believing that the greatest amoung us shall be servants, I pray that humility and grace govern the hearts and minds of every employee and volunteer, both present and future. I pray that themes of "redemeing love" and "so have you done unto Me" resignate through the hearts and minds of every employee and volunteer. I pray Lord that by your Holy Spirit that you capture the affections and the gaze of those served by and those who serve at Raleigh Rescue Mission. I pray that the value of the work of the mission be realized by the citizens of Raleigh and that you call many to come along side Your work through the mission. Now Lord I want to thank you for every man, woman, and child that has been served by the mission over the past 50 years. We know some are with you now and we rejoice at the thought. For those that remain with us, may the grace, forgiveness, and unconditional love found only in Jesus Christ change the lives of hopeless men and women and deliver them to an eternal hope. May You open our hearts to Your love, open our eyes to Your truths, and open our hands to Your service. May the grace that has brought us safe this far, be the same grace that lead us home.....to be with you forever. Thank you for first loving us!
