Host a Drive
When you lead up a drive, all the goods you collect and any money you raise will help end homelessness right here in the Greater Raleigh area!
To meet the great need for food, clothing and other necessities, we rely on caring friends like you. Your group can join us in ministering to the homeless by hosting one of the fun drives listed below. You can also download and print our Raleigh Rescue Mission Drives Brochure.
For more information about hosting a drive to benefit Raleigh Rescue Mission, please contact Viki Redding, Director of Marketing at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Fall, Winter and Holiday Drives
Thanks for Giving Holiday Food Drive
No one should go hungry on Thanksgiving and Christmas! We will prepare approximately 1,600 holiday meals this Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve through our Gobbles to Go outreach program! Helps us to defray our food costs by organizing a Thanks For Giving Food Drive and collecting any or all of the ingredients we need to prepare holiday meals. For more information and to view a shopping list, download a printable flyer.
Groceries To Go Holiday Food Drive
Help us to provide a bag of groceries this Thanksgiving and Christmas to our neighbors in need. Grocery bags will be delivered along with our hot Gobbles to Go meals to help feed Raleigh residents who might otherwise go hungry throughout the holiday weekend. For more information and to view the list of items that will go in each grocery bag, download a printable flyer.
Urgent Needs Dive
Host a Drive and collect items from our Urgent and Ongoing Needs list at your church, workplace, school or service organization. Find out what is most needed to help Raleigh Rescue Mission residents today by reviewing our Urgent and Ongoing Needs list. Download the printable list and take it with you to the grocery store, pharmacy, or department store and pick up a few items for the Mission as you shop for your family.
Drop these items off Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm at 314 E. Hargett St., Downtown Raleigh.
Winter warm-up Coat and Winter Wear Drive
For someone who spends the winter unsheltered on Raleigh’s streets, warm clothing offers not only comfort, but also survival. In fact, hypothermia can become a danger even in temperatures as mild as 50 degrees. Our winter ministry provides blankets, coats, gloves, scarves, hats and other cold weather gear for men, women and children who would otherwise have no protection on the coldest days and nights.
You can help us stock our coat closets this winter by collecting new and gently used winter wear items. For more information and to view a list of needed items, please download a printable flyer.
Tubs of Love
The Tubs of Love project is a year-round opportunity to collect items for residents and other clients served by Raleigh Rescue Mission.
During the holidays, we seek to collect items that we often run short of during the year. Help us by holding a drive in your office, neighborhood, school or church — or even within your family.
To host a Holiday Tubs of Love Drive, please download the printable Holiday Tubs of Love flyer for more information and instructions.
